The Writer's Inspiration

"No problem at all" Helaine said. It made him happy that he liked them.

Mira smiled and went to Helaine, lightly kissing the corner of his lips before he headed back into the kitchen to grab plates and cutlery to eat with.

Helaine smiled, sitting down.

Mira set the plates down on the table with the cutlery and retrieved glasses as well. "What would you like to drink?" he asked the man, looking back at him.

"Water with lemon if that's alright" Helaine said, getting up to put the cake in the fridge.

Mira nodded and got him the glass of water with a slice of lemon and ice cubes in it. He got himself a simply glass of water and set both down on the table. He waited for Helaine to return from putting the cake in the fridge before he sat down with him at the table. "I'm curious, what's this for?" he asked. "I do know how to cook, you didn't have to pick something up."

"Well you've been busy with your novel so it's just to give you a little break and time to relax" Helaine said, sitting down.

Mira blushed faintly and smiled, nodding slightly. "Thank you," he replied quietly. "That, that's really kind of you."

"I said I'd do what I can to make you happy, I mean it" Helaine said with a smile, getting some food.

Mira paused, watching him before he nodded slightly. "Right," he muttered. He hadn't expected the man to hold true to his word.

"Did I give you my cell phone number?" Helaine asked, starting to eat some fried rice.

Mira paused and glanced over at his cell phone. "I don't remember," he replied, getting up and grabbing his cell phone, checking through his phone.

Helaine nodded and ate more of the rice.

"Ya, I do have it," Mira said, showing him before he closed his phone again, setting it aside. "Why did you want to know?"

"To make sure you can call me anytime. If you want me call, I'll come right away"

Mira looked up at him and smiled faintly, nodding slightly. "My problem though, is that I'm afraid I'm disturbing someone, so I tend not to call very often."

"Then shall I call you instead?" Helaine teased, winking at him.

Mira flushed. "A-alright," he muttered. "I-I don't mind that. In fact, I-I kinda prefer it."

"Any time that I shouldn't call?" Helaine asked, stretching after finishing what he wanted to eat for dinner.

Mira shook his head. "Not really, no," he replied. "I'll probably tell you when I'm busy with work, but other than that I have a lot of spare time and most of the time I'm alone. So you can call whenever you want. Although I would advise not calling at like crazy hours in the morning. I may snap at you, I don't really like being woken up during the night."

"Alright...oh right I've got something else for you" Helaine said, rummaging through his pocket and pulled out a key which he put on the table. "There, so you can come to my apartment if I'm there or not"

Mira blinked, staring at the key. "Um, thank you?" he muttered. "So, what does this mean?" he asked, looking up at Helaine.

"Not much....you can come to my house whenever, if you're lonely and want to go somewhere else..." Helaine said, getting up to get the cake.

Mira nodded slightly. "Y-you don't mind?" he asked. "What if you're busy with work, or, or someone else?" he asked uneasily, looking up at Helaine.

"I don't mind at all, any time at all" Helaine said, putting the cake on the table.
