Family Bonds

"Lets...just stop talking about this before I end up leaving" Ariel grumbled, mashing the hot potatoes.

Sacha sighed and nodded, going quiet and not saying another word on the subject; rather, he didn't say another word about anything and kept his mouth shut.

"All ready" Ariel said, serving dinner and got two glasses of water for them.

Sacha still leaned against the counter. "Do you want any help with anything?" he asked.

"Eating it of course" Ariel said, putting the plates on the table.

"Well duh," Sacha muttered and went to her, gently stopping her and turning her to face him. "Look, I'm sorry if I upset you," he said softly, caressing her cheek. "That hadn't been my intention at all."

"It's just...I don't like it when you don't believe me..." Ariel pouted.

Sacha sighed and gently lifted her chin. "I believe just about everything you tell me," he said softly. "Except for that because I'm pretty damn sure it's not true." He shook his head. "But that doesn't matter," he said. "This weekend is just supposed to be about us. Not Nerine, not Socrates. Just us," he whispered to her. "So, let's enjoy this wonderful meal and not worry about it anymore, alright?"

Ariel nodded and kissed his fingers softly.

Sacha smiled faintly and lifted her head, gently capturing her lips in a deep, loving kiss. "I love you, Ariel," he whispered to her, embracing her.

Ariel kissed him back, her body pressing against his. Once the kiss broke she spoke. "I love you too"

Sacha smiled and nodded. "Can we eat now?" he whispered.

"We can" Ariel said, letting him go.

Sacha smiled and went to the table, making sure Ariel was seated first before he took his own seat.

Ariel sat down and sipped her water before beginning to eat.

Sacha too started to eat and he smiled. "This is delicious, Ariel," he said softly.

Ariel smiled. "It's easy to do...nothing special" She said softly as she ate.

Sacha chuckled. "Yes, coming from someone who can cook," he said. "I couldn't do this."

"Just takes a bit of practice" Ariel said with a bright smile.

Sacha chuckled and nodded. "I'm sure," he replied. "I still don't think I could make something this good though, regardless of how much practice I have."

Ariel giggled finishing her meal. "Well thank you"

Sacha smiled and helped her clean up the table, washing some of the dishes and when the leftovers and dishes were put away, he pulled Ariel close to his bare chest and captured her lips in a spicy kiss.

"mmm" Ariel moaned softly as she gave into the kiss.

Sacha smiled, slipping his tongue past her lips and into her mouth. "Mm, what would you like to do now?" he asked.

"Well you did promise me a bath" She said with a smirk.
