"As am I," Tutankhamun replied softly. "How has your day been?" he asked her, pulling back his hand and resting it on the arm of his throne where it had been previously.

She had hoped maybe he would continue yet perhaps her hair felt weird since her hair was not a wig but attached to her head. "It has been well, your maid has taken care of me very well"

The male looked to the maid, standing near the doorway and smiled faintly. "Well, I'm glad," he replied and returned his gaze to Amelia. "What is it you have been doing this morning?" he asked her.

"Lets see...I ate....dressed...looked at the gardens...oh right, I also met your sister" Amelia said as she recalled her day so far.

Tutankhamun paused. "You met my sister?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. "Which one?"

"The one they want you to marry...I never did get her name.." Amelia said, mumbling the last part. She felt silly for not have even gotten her name.

"Ahnksamon," Tutankhamun replied with a sigh, as he rolled his eyes. "I wish I had a say in whom I married," he muttered, rubbing his forehead. "It would definitely not be her. Her mother raised her to be a stuck up little wretch."

"Ugh...I'll never remember your names...to hard..." Amelia said with a sigh, not even hearing the last part of what he had said. "Wait...can you not just marry someone you want to instead?"

"My companion has to be of royal blood," Tutankhamun replied. "We have to keep the line clear and pure of any faults. Hence why I'm forced to marry my sister." He sounded less than pleased about the whole ordeal.

"Ah I see...I'm surprised they are even allowing me to stay near you then" Amelia said softly, resting her head against his throne.

Tutankhamun smiled, placing a hand on her head and playing his fingers through her hair again; he did love the way it felt. "I may not have complete control over who I marry, but I am still Pharaoh," he said. "I see who I wish to see. My word is law after all."

"I see...but wouldn't it be sad? Not me..but what if you fell in love with someone who you shouldn't love? Who isn't apart of the royal family?" Amelia asked as she looked up at him.

Tutankhamun smiled faintly. "I can still be with them. My father had multiple consorts, multiple lesser wives. My mother was one of them. The wife I'm to court around in public however, has to be royalty."

"Oh I see..." Amelia said as she thought to herself. Suddenly she felt heartbroken and couldn't understand why. Quickly she masked that feeling before it could reach her face. "That's good then"

"But, according to you, I'm going to die before I can wed her," Tutankhamun said, watching her, his hand still lightly tangled in her hair. "So why does it really matter anyway?"

Amelia blushed and looked away so he couldn't see. "You're right....that is just how history will go.."

Tutankhamun watched her for a moment before he cupped her chin and lifted her head. "What's the matter, Amelia?" he asked softly. "You're upset about something."

"It's nothing really....I should let you go...you're a busy man after all" Amelia said, moving to leave.

Tutankhamun gently took hold of her wrist, preventing her from leaving and he slowly rose from his throne. "Tell me, Amelia. I cannot read your thoughts," he whispered to her, reaching out and caressing her cheek softly with his knuckles.

"I...don't want to fall anymore in love with a man doomed to die so young..."Amelia whispered as she looked away from him.

Tutankhamun watched her quietly, his blue eyes sad. "And you're positive that I am to be assassinated?" he whispered softly, turning her head to look at him again.

"It's set in history....I don't even belong in this era..." Amelia said, she knew she would most likely regret it but it was the first thing she had ever really want. She stood on her toes, kissing his lips.

Without so much as a single moment of hesitation, Tutankhamun had his arms firmly around her slim body, holding her close as he returned the kiss, deepening it and claiming her lips as his own.

Amelia hadn't expected it, her knees giving out on her. It was her first kiss yet it was so passionate her mind went blank, unsure what to do

Tutankhamun held her close to him, keeping her upright and after a few moments, he slowly released her lips. He pressed a delicate kiss against her lips. "Come with me," he breathed softly to her, kissing down her neck.

Amelia nodded, not trusting her voice to speak. His kisses were sending shivers down her body, making her feel something new that she'd never felt before.
