The Writer's Inspiration

"No way, i just wish i could punch that bastard for doing that to you" Helaine said, stretching.

Mira nodded slightly. "I'm sorry," he whispered again.

"No need to be sorry. Would you...like to stay the night?" Helaine asked, looking over at him.

Mira chewed his lip, still watching the floor. "Y-you don't mind?" he whispered.

"Not at all...and if at all possible would like you to forget what happened" Helaine said, moving to sit infront of him.

Mira's blank gaze focused on Helaine and he nodded slightly. "I do want to forget," he whispered quietly.

"Then I'll help you" Helaine said, starting to unzip Mira's pants.

Mira gently stopped him, his eyes sad. "Can we not just jump into that for once?" he whispered. "Or, or is that asking too much?"

Helaine blinked but nodded. "Let me get dressed then" he said since he was naked and it'd give away if he got a boner.

Mira bowed his head and nodded slightly. He opened his mouth to apologize again but quickly closed it again, knowing that some people got angry when something was said over and over again. He bit his bottom lip, wrapping his arms back around his knees as he waited for Helaine to get dressed, and he rested his head against the side of the couch, looking around the room in silence.

The room was rather plain and even had a few boxes, taped up and dusty. Helaine came back fully dressed and sat beside Mira.

Mira looked over at him and sighed faintly before shifting slightly to lean against him. "Th-this isn't all I'm good for, is it?" he whispered, his head rested against Helaine's shoulder.

"Not at all, you're smart and very good with words" Helaine said, patting Mira's hair.

Mira sighed, his shoulders sinking slightly. "It's all I'm good for," he muttered before he leaned up and lightly pressed soft kisses against Helaine's jaw. "I probably should've taken up prostitution instead of writing," he murmured.

"Mira...you're not good for just that..I won't sleep with you tonight" Helaine said, watching him.

Mira stared up at him, confusion in his eyes; no one had ever turned him away before. He bowed his head and nodded, shifting away from Helaine, feeling as if he had done something wrong. He wrapped his arms back around his knees, hugging them close to his chest as he leaned against the side of the couch again. He was quiet for a few long moments. "So, now what?" he whispered quietly, not looking over at Helaine as if in fear of seeing something that would hurt.

Helaine sighed and pulled Mira close. "This, just this for now." He whispered, hugging him.

Mira hesitated before he slowly leaned against Helaine, leaning into the embrace. "I-I'm sorry," he muttered quietly, not knowing what else to say.

"Shhhh~" Helaine whispered, rocking him gently.

Mira went quiet, closing his eyes and slowly letting himself enjoy the embrace Helaine had him in. It was really nice; different; and he liked it. He didn't know how long it would last so he held onto that very moment for as long as he possibly could.

Helaine just stayed there with Mira, quietly.

"Y-you're not mad at me, are you?" Mira whispered, keeping his eyes to the floor. "I-I'm sorry if you are. I-I'll make it up to you."

"No I'm not mad at you...you just need to be more careful, you don't have to let people take advantage of you" Helaine said softly.

Mira was quiet. "How do I stop them?" he asked, his voice sad. "I-I don't want them to hit me and, and usually if I deny them, that's what they do."

"For one thing quit, and if they try and force you call the cops" Helaine said, stroking Mira's hair.
